On the poster board given out in class make sure that you have all three components to your project: a summary (in your own words) of the assigned Crusade, a nursery rhyme that you made up based on that Crusade and taking into consideration the various parts of a nursery rhyme that we viewed in class, and finally an illustration of your nursery rhyme. Prepare for your bucket day. Bring at least 4 items that represent who you are and what you like to do to share with the class. These items cannot be every day items that you might find in your backpack such as a pencil or your ipod. Please also be careful not to bring items that are banned on campus such as a paintball gun. If it is in question, make sure and check with me first.
Write a 1/2 to 1 page letter to Mr. Haugen describing your past experiences in your history classes. Tell me what you liked or didn't like. What are your expectations for this year? Be specific. What do you expect to learn in world/U.S. history and what would you like to learn about? Feel free to include information that you would like me to know about you.

Project Due 3/1
There is a supplemental project due 3/1 for students wanting/needing to make up lost points from the chapters 9-10 unit. The project is worth up to the number of points missed on the 9-10 test. Possible projects are as follows:
1. Create a music video that covers either a presidency we have studied so far or a major event from chapters 9-10 such as the War of 1812. Can have up to 3 group members total.
2. Do an approved book report on an approved book on either a relevant president or major event from chapters 9-10. Teacher must approve both book and project.
3. Complete a poster on a relevant president/event from the unit that shows in depth knowledge of the unit or specific area to be presented to the class.
Questions or approval for projects can all be completed via email. Good luck!
